As a Financial Application Analyst, you will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and L1/L2 support of one or more applications. Your role will encompass day-to-day operations, including monitoring, administration, and maintenance. Reporting to the Cloud Hosting Services Support Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability and optimal performance of our applications.
- Analyze application and service performance characteristics, troubleshoot problems, and recommend necessary procurement or modifications to application configurations and resources to maintain service availability.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve application problems, conducting incident and problem investigations and diagnosis.
- Proactively manage and monitor the network, systems, and security to maintain service availability of the cloud services infrastructure in accordance with the SLA. Respond to irregularities and issues following documented procedures.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of application processes and system monitoring.
- Implement software applications and other services based on Cloud team documented policies and standards, ensuring they meet client needs. Conduct installation and configuration of new/existing software applications.
- Collaborate with Network Administrators and System Administrators to ensure proper integration of application software. Work closely with application development teams and vendors to fine-tune and troubleshoot applications.
- Assess client application requirements, test, recommend, and implement solutions to meet these requirements. Assist in modifying company products and/or customer/internal systems to fulfill client and/or end-user needs.
- Participate in efforts to implement application updates, including upgrades, patches, and new releases. Perform configuration changes and application backups according to documented policies and procedures.
- Investigate and resolve issues reported or escalated by the customer. Identify, apply, and document solutions for errors and irregularities in the application and related services following documented policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with vendors for support on issues related to the application software.
- Ensure compliance with the Cloud Security Policy and other established guidelines and objectives in cloud services delivery and operations.
- Collaborate with team members and departments to deliver effective, secure, and optimal solutions for project implementation, tasks, and operations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning and security of the unit.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation for assigned tasks.
The candidate should have the following qualifications/requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a four-year academic program.
- More than 5 years of IT experience in financial application deployment and support.
- Knowledge of operating systems, databases, networks, and financial applications.
- Hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Experience in MS SQL or Oracle DB is a plus.
- Certification in Databases, Azure, Swift, or ITIL is a plus.
- Strong ability to quickly grasp new concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for creativity and design.
- Customer-service oriented and a strong team player.
