Job Description

The Product Development Manager for TBML is responsible for managing the development, enhancement, and lifecycle of financial crime solutions for trade and supply chain finance products. This role supports the execution of the product strategy, ensuring alignment with market needs, regulatory requirements, and business goals.

This is an inclusive role that gathers business requirements, provides functional and technical requirements for the design and ongoing enhancements to the SafeTrade product, provides detailed context to the Development Team, manages the delivery in accordance with business-critical deadlines, and ensures that the design encompasses TBML regulatory requirements and covers all major jurisdictions.


Responsibilities & Duties

  1. Define the features in the SafeTrade solution that are related to sanctions screening, TBML, vessels tracking, digitization, and transaction monitoring, and deliver a best-in-class solution with quality embedded in every stage of the design process.

  2. Build the product’s vision and the business case, as well as compile the product planning material necessary for driving product initiatives.

  3. Create user stories from the features for Developers and Quality Assurance Teams while providing detailed and accurate context as per the scrum methodology followed by Eastnets. This should include the ability to create mockups and workflows.

  4. Collaboratively participate in sprint standup meetings and sprint reviews.

  5. Define acceptance criteria for features and user stories, then validate them during sprint reviews.

  6. Design the product toward the industry trend and create a clear value proposition and competitive advantage for products and services, taking into consideration the industry trends, the players in the industry, the competition, and the technology trends.

  7. Evaluate and recommend business benefits and how the next generation of tools (Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Blockchain) can be adopted in SafeTrade.

  8. Articulate requirements and present the key features to business functions internally and ensure the business value proposition is understood.

  9. Proficiently understand competitor product solutions and product differentiations, ensuring Eastnets’ solution is superior in functionality.

  10. Take full ownership of the product roadmap of the solution and ensure that it is always kept up to date.

  11. Recommend prioritization and sequencing of new product features.

  12. Be the subject matter expert in trade finance and trade-based money laundering (TBML) across different regulatory jurisdictions and translate regulatory requirements into product features.

  13. Understand customer requirements and translate them into detailed business and functional requirements and deliver with a high-quality standard.

  14. Own product performance and reporting while ensuring the ongoing refinement process is in place (user feedback loop) and modifying/updating based on the feedback.

  15. Prepare marketing material for the product and for the new features, and support product market campaigns, including preparing blogs/market insights.

  16. Develop training material on the product in Eastnets Academy.

  17. Provide support and training to the Operations Client Services Team.

  18. Support the business development of the solution:
    a. Create awareness for the product within the different teams in Eastnets. Provide training on the product and on the new features to the Sales and Marketing Teams, and support go-to-market campaigns, including product marketing plans.
    b. Create competitor product reviews and identify product differentiators.
    c. Value propositions and selling points of the solution. Conduct a demonstration of the application for pre-sales opportunities. Support the Bidding Team in the RFP/RFI tendering processes in a timely manner.

  19. Maintain the security of the information, devices, and systems that Eastnets, its personnel, customers, and partners use.

  20. Protect Eastnets business information and any customer, supplier, or partner information within its custody by safeguarding its confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

  21. Adhere to and comply with Eastnets internal security policies, Code of Ethics, Non-Disclosure Policy, Non-Compete Policy, Email Policy, Proprietary Rights Acknowledgement, Background Check Policy, and all other internal policies and employee handbook.

  22. Participate in the company’s wide initiatives.


Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  2. Certification of GTC, CITF, or CATF is a plus.

  3. 5+ years of experience in product management or business analysis for trade finance-related businesses, including trade finance in transaction banking.

  4. Hands-on knowledge in trade and supply chain finance products, such as letters of credit, guarantees, receivables finance, and supplier financing solutions and common trade-based financial crime typologies, including but not limited to:

    • Creating scenarios/alerts/parameters for ongoing AML monitoring of trade finance transactions

    • Ability to interpret TBML alerts for identification of suspicious activity

    • STR filing with FIU for suspicious cases

  5. Experience in delivering product solutions in anti-money laundering, preferably trade-based.

  6. Customer experience management – experience with value proposition development or journey mapping (service design or experience design) is a plus.

  7. Commercial experience (sales or marketing) is a plus.

  8. Strong relationship management skills with a proven ability to work across businesses.

  9. Flexible attitude with proven experience of working in a small and agile team.

  10. People-oriented and enjoy building capability and helping others grow while leading from the front.

  11. Experience in developing solutions using advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence in financial services and products.

  12. Excellent communication skills for different internal and external communication needs.

  13. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to integrate diverse and complex information and data and to design refined strategies, solutions, workflows, and procedures.
