Job Description

The Product Development Manager will focus on fraud detection projects and client engagements. This role will be responsible for working with clients to understand their business requirements and identify opportunities to leverage our product offerings to detect and prevent fraud.

This role will act as the primary point of contact for driving requirements gathering, creating and maintaining business analysis documentation, and collaborating with our development and implementation teams to ensure solutions are implemented according to business requirements and that product benefits are fully realized.


Key Responsibilities

      Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and maintain the PaymentGuard product roadmap aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

  • Translate business strategy into prioritized product initiatives and measurable outcomes.
    Identify market opportunities through competitive analysis, customer feedback, and industry research.

  • Work closely with the Product Development Management Director to ensure alignment with the overall Financial Crime product strategy.

  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, payment trends, AI capabilities, and regulatory changes that impact the product.

    Product Management

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog based on business value and customer impact.

  • Define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.

  • Work closely with Business Analysts to validate requirements and ensure complete documentation.

  • Collaborate with Engineering throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure successful product delivery.

  • Support solution design discussions while balancing customer requirements, scalability, usability, and technical feasibility.

  • Monitor product quality and continuously improve functionality and user experience.

  • Collaborate with Data Science teams to identify opportunities to incorporate AI-driven capabilities into the product.

    Customer & Market Focus

 

  • Engage with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to understand business challenges and evolving requirements.

  • Gather customer feedback and translate insights into product improvements.

  • Support customer meetings, product demonstrations, workshops, and strategic discussions when required.

  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Support teams to resolve product-related escalations and identify recurring improvement opportunities.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Development, QA, UX, Implementation, Sales, Presales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure product requirements are clearly communicated and understood by all stakeholders.
  • Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, release planning, and product prioritization activities.
  • Provide functional guidance to Business Analysts and mentor junior team members where appropriate.


    Product Launch & Commercial Enablement

  • Support product positioning, pricing discussions, and go-to-market planning.
  • Review product documentation, release notes, user guides, and training materials.
  • Support product launches and ensure internal teams are prepared to successfully position and deliver new capabilities.
  • Measure product adoption, customer satisfaction, and product performance using relevant KPIs.

    Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze product performance metrics and customer usage data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Recommend enhancements that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and product competitiveness.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement across the product management function.

     

    Additional Functions

  • Conduct market and competitor research to support strategic product decisions.
  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors when required.
  • Accurately record work activities in the timesheet system and ensure timely submission of timesheets in accordance with company policies and deadlines.
  • Maintain the security of the information, devices and systems that Eastnets, and its personnel, customers and partners use.
  • Protect Eastnets business information and any customer, supplier or partner information within its custody by safeguarding its confidentiality, integrity and availability.
  • Adhere to and comply with Eastnets internal security policies, Code of Ethics, Nondisclosure Policy, Non-Compete Policy, Email Policy, Proprietary Rights Acknowledgement, Background Check Policy, and all other internal policies and employee handbook.
  • Participate in the company’s wide initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • Minimum 6–8 years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, or Product Development within the financial technology industry.

  • Experience in payments, transaction monitoring, financial crime, AML, or compliance solutions is highly preferred.

  • Awareness of payment and fraud regulation (PSD2/PSD3, SCA, Confirmation/Verification of Payee, APP fraud reimbursement regimes).

  • Familiarity with third-party fraud signals (device intelligence, behavioral biometrics, consortium data).

  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations, cloud technologies, and AI-enabled product capabilities.

  • Awareness of data privacy and residency requirements (GDPR, regional mandates).
  • Strong understanding of product management principles, agile methodologies, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience translating business requirements into product features and functional specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of payment ecosystems, payment messaging standards (SWIFT, ISO 20022, SEPA, etc.), and financial services technology.
  • Ability to prioritize competing initiatives using customer value and business impact.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams.
  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations, cloud technologies, and AI-enabled product capabilities is an advantage.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Relevant certifications (CFE, CAMS, or a product certification such as Pragmatic) is a plus.
