Hazem Mulhim - CEO & Founder
Mr. Mulhim brings more than 25 years of leadership and entrepreneurial experience in building, establishing and growing businesses internationally. In the span of 5 years, Mr. Mulhim grew the operations of EastNets exponentially. Prior to founding EastNets, he held several positions at T.I.C in the USA. Mr. Mulhim holds a MS degree in Electronics Engineering and Medical Electronics from the Higher Institute for Mechanical & Electronic Engineering in Sofia, Bulgaria. He also holds a Certificate of Advanced Management from INSEAD in France and has attended a management program at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Theo Bark - Chairman
Mr. Bark has been active in the financial industry for over 40 years. Holding increasingly more senior commercial management positions within the ABN Amro Banking Group internationally in the Far East, Middle East, North America and Western and Eastern Europe. Since 2002 Mr. Bark is a non executive Board member of the Turkish owned C International banking Group in various locations in both West and East Europe, next to managing and owning a successful financial consultancy company Midwest Business Corp. Mr. Bark graduated from a The Hague based College in the Netherlands. Completed the Dutch Banking Academy and attended a Stanford Management program in Singapore.
Mohit Davar - Board Member
Mohit Davar is an experienced payments executive, who has been working in the global remittance industry for over 16 years. He has extensive hands on experience of setting up and leading global teams and operations and managing relationships with banks/financial institutions and regulators at the senior most level. He has been involved in two start-ups in this industry, firstly in 1997 he helped form the Joint Venture between MoneyGram and Thomas Cook and took the position of CFO and then went on to become the CEO until 2003, when this was sold back to MoneyGram. This was valued in excess of US$200m at the time of the transaction. He then set up Travelex Money Transfer in 2003, which was acquired by Coinstar Inc. in May 2006 for approximately US$27m. Mohit went on to create another successful global money transfer company which was recently sold to Sigue Corporation in June 2011.
Prior to MoneyGram he worked at Thomas Cook M&A and Sedgwick, the insurance brokers.
Mohit is also the Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the International Association of Money Transfer Networks. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
Abdullah Alkulaib - Board Member
Mr. Alkulaib is working in the Investment Department in AREF Investment Group (a subsidiary of Kuwait Finance House). He has over 8 years of work experience in the Investment sector (Analysis, Valuations, Investment Banking and M&A). In addition, he held many board memberships of many shareholding companies in Kuwait, Dubai, Egypt and Syria.
Mr. Alkulaib holds a bachelors of science in Computer Science & Engineering from Ohio, USA. He also holds an MBA from Ohio, USA. He completed many specialized executive programs and training courses in the fields of Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Leadership Development and Project Management from reputable organization such as EuroMoney (London), IACVA (USA), Cornell University (USA) and Harvard Business School (USA).
Khalid Madi - Board Member
Mr. Madi spent nearly a decade with Merrill Lynch, where he built a successful private banking franchise. In 2002, he founded Dubai-based Infinity Investment Solutions after recognizing the need for a low-cost alternative distribution model to that employed by banks. In developing the company platform, he established the legal framework, reporting systems and monitoring infrastructure. He then drew on his extensive industry contacts and networks to create a range of top quality products and relationships with major banks to provide institutional-quality idea flow to clients.
To date, Infinity has placed over $800 million in third party products, from single manager and fund of fund hedge products, to structured note offerings and packaged direct equity.
Mr. Madi holds a B.A. in Finance and Marketing from Boston University.
